Help! Denied by Aetna

Hi. I just found out today that Aetna denied me. Does anyone out there have Aetna? I did the 3 month Multidisciplinary Surgical Regimen and I did everything they requested to a T and they still denied me. I am so confused. Does anyone have a good contact at Aetna? Every time I call I get someone that doesn't have a clue. Any thoughts on doing an appeal? Anyone who has be thru this with Aetna that has any helpful information I would greatly appreciate it. Hello Bonnie: I have Aetna HMO also but I have not sent my paper work in yet, hopefully next week. I hope I don't get denied since I have done the same you have done, everything. If you get any data on how to handle denial with this company, will you please let me know since some days I do not get on this web page. Hope things will change around and I believe there is something on this main page about insurance denial that has been posted before, many a month back or so. I can't seem to remember but I did see it at one point. Hang in there and it will get approved. I think the dr can send a letter or maybe you could. Good luck: Mary

I have Aetna HMO also. When I called and talked to them about having this done, they told me that they require 2 years of doctor supervised dieting. Not just 6 months like some companies. I feel like I will get denied also, but sometimes when you appeal it they will approve. Good luck. Let us know how you come out with an appeal.
