no answer from insurance

Well everybody its been almost 3 weeks since we submitted to insurance, and I still have no answer on if Im approved. I have called every week and they tell me its in medical review. Well how long does that take??? I was really hoping to have the surgery before Christmas , looks like my time is running close. Everyone pray that insurance will come up with an answer soon Jen
