I'm on my way

Okay everybody I am going to my seminar this Wednesday for Dr. Scott. I am nervous, but I have everything together as far as my paperwork goes. Unless they tell me they need something else. I really am very scared so I really need lots of support. I know this is just the beginning but it feels like a beginning of a new life. At first, I wasn't going to get to the seminar until mid November, but Ginger called me today and asked could I be there this Wednesday. With all my paperwork I did write Dr. Scott a letter stating why I needed the surgery and how I thought it would improve my life. Is there anything else I need to be doing? So, everyone please say a pray for me. I really need everything to go good especially for my children.

Lucretia, you will enjoy the seminar with Dr. Scott. The seminar last 2 hours and Dr. Scott is the presenter for the 2 hours. I attended the seminar on August 10th, nutritionist on Sept. 20th, Psych on Sept 27th, and I saw Dr. Scott on October 7th. My surgery is scheduled for January 2005. I have joined the recommended exercise program that Dr. Scott mention during the seminar. The personal trainers have designed a weight loss program for WLS patient. It's a good program. Do you have a letter from your PCP saying you will benefit from the WLS? Wish you well, you are on your way TG

I do not have my PCP letter yet. I have heard to wait until he tells you kinda what he wants in there so he wouldn't have to write one twice. Should I call my PCP tomorrow and have him go ahead and write one. Please let me know so I can get on top of that if I need it before Wednesday. Thanks so much.

Hi Lucretia, Have your PCP write the referral letter and once you turn in your information, all that is left for Ginger to do is schedule nutritionist and psych evaualtion. Once this 2 items is complete then your appointment will be set with Dr. Scott. Best Wishes, TG from Euharlee

Hey Lucretia, You will do fine. I go for my consult with Dr. Duncan this Thursday. They will tell you what to do from there. And if you need reassurance, we are all here to support each other. I used to live in Cartersville and loved it. I miss walking the track at Dellinger Park. Hang in there.
