ulcers adhesions strictures (I know this one better than the others) First of all, yes I have an appt with the doctor tomorrow. I think I have (or am developing) an ulcer. I have pain in my pouch almost constantly that reminds me of when pre-op, I would take aspirin on an empty stomach, or drink too much coffee. I feel this pain along with varying degrees of nausea I'd say at least 50% of the time. Some days are obviously better than others. I generally keep down food ok, but I have had increasing episodes of vomiting that I'm not convinced were related to me eating too fast or not chewing enough. It was so bad on the way home from work, I had to pull over, and hang my head out the car and just spit for a while while my mouth watered in anticipation of the puking that never came. Aside from the occassional vomiting, I do keep most foods down ok, and don't have a hard time eating. I'm very concerned, however, because I wasn't eating anywhere near enough BEFORE I began having this problem, and I'm damn sure not eating enough now - if everything hurts, it's carb countdown and protein shakes and soup for me! The bad thing is that sometimes, even water, hot tea, Crystal Lite and yes, even my beloved soup hurts. I puked up some good chicken noodle the other day. I'm very frightened that this is just the way it's going to be for me and I'll NEVER be able to eat and then I'll dwindle away after goal and have to go to the hospital and be sustained. Of course, I dont' worry about it enough to FORCE myself to eat either. I'm sitting here in tears as I write this because my stomach just plain out HURTS! It's a burning, clenching kind of pain.... and in a little while it will pass...... Anyhow, I began by asking a simple question and ended ranting on and on - I'm sorry..... please though....if you have had any of these problems, enlighten me! hugs Michelle

Do you have a gallbladder? If so, does the pain hurt right in your stomach area with shooting pains around to your back? I had gallstones and they REALLY HURT. After a while you start puking when you eat anything!! Hope you feel better. Carol

No, no back pain at all... it just feels like my pouch is just RAW... for lack of better terms.... As I said, the only thing I can relate the pain to is when I've been dumb as a pre-op and taken aspirin on an empty stomach. Thanks for your kind words though.... hugs Michelle

Hey! I am so sorry you were crying! I have read a few posts here like yours and so seem to be gallbladder and some seem to be ulcer. Until you get to the doc. you might go "back to basics" I remember you seemed to do well with hot cocoa SF FF, warm liquids and mashed potatoes with your protein mixed in. I hope you will keep us updated. I am concerned. Let us know what the doc. says. Dondi
