Update on Wanda (Friday)

Just spoke to Wanda, the CT scan came back better than the one before surgery. They ended up doing a scope, the opening in her pouch was fine. They did suck some bile out of her stomach, they don't know why she is producing so much. Good news is, she has not thrown up since 12 hours ago. Her surgeon is going to put her on more meds to help with this acidy bile, and put her just on broth for about 3 weeks. She might be able to come home if all works out, she sounds to be in better spirits. A nutritionist came by to see her about what to eat and not too, and she said that made her feel a lot better. So let's continue to pray that she will get home soon. Amy

Amy, Thank you so much for checking on her...She has continued to be on my mind and I am so glad to hear that she is doing better. Two years ago today, I was having my surgery. For the most part I was one of the lucky ones, no major complications. Wanda has my prayers, please let us know when she will be coming home. Can't wait to hear from her ourselves!! Hi Amy, Again, I thank you for checking on Wanda... I know I am the WORST angel in the world!! Actually, I have tried to get her at the hospital a couple of times, but the line was busy, and then my window of opportunity closed and I was off again... I will try again to call her tomorrow, but I will be out of town all day tomorrow with the the high school band.... if I don't, and you talk to her, PLEASE tell her I have been thinking about her and feel TERRIBLE that I haven't had the opportunity to talk to her....but that I HAVE been praying for her!!!
