Help with Insurance and Medicare?

First off, let me introduce myself. My name is Delton Lord, and I am NOT fat, I'm just "heavy set", "big boned", "well-fed" and "husky"... I'm 30 years old, married, and have one kid. Bailey is her name and she's the best little puppy anyone could ask for! Here's my question(s). I have been trying to get this surgery for about 4 years now and have always ran into a wall of somesort. Whether it be having the right insurance, and getting laid off before I could follow-thru with the surgery, or like right now, having two different insurances and neither of them "covering it". I have BCBS of Alabama through my wife's work. She works at Wal-Mart and they seem to have a claus that excludes the surgery. So there's strike ONE. I also have Medicare, but there seems to be a problem with that also... Seems they will not pre-approve the surgery, but I've heard that WILL cover it. Problem is, I can't find a doctor that'll accept Medicare. Can y'all recommend anything? I'm about at my wits end with this... Any help will be appreciated. Thanks for your time.

Hello Delton First of all I would like to say welcome to the board. There are alot of great people here that can help you w/ any ?s you may have. I do not have Medicare but I did hear that they cover it but it is hard to get approved by them. Someone here will give you the answers you need cause I know that there are a few here that have medicare. I have not had my surgery yet ,going thru all the test right now.
