Hey, All, I've got a stinky cold and don't know which medicines are okay. I tried one caplet of Tylenol Cold, but I woke up with my heart racing. It was a bit scary! Have any of you found something over-the-counter that works for a cold? Thanks, Becky

Becky, you know what has been doing wonders for me? (And I will be very honest with you.. I TOTALLY doubted it when it was suggested to me...) Zinc lozenges.... there is a brand called "ColdEze" and they have several flavors. I started getting sick before my surgery and the doctor suggested them to me.. I was irritated, cuz I wanted an antibiotic so I wouldn't be sick and have to cancel the surgery...I took them like they said, and I swear, the next day I was better... Now, on 2 separate occasions I have used them and swear by them now...my kids have used and been successful, as well as a co-worker that I turned on to them. And hey!! Zinc is good for the hair!! Just an idea... -Tami

I started taking extra vitamin C and a zinc capsule when everybody at my job started getting sick. No flu shots available. So far so good. I wonder if the lozenges are better than the capsules?

If Modean is right, I am going to get some Zinc too! I enjoyed chatting you you in the room even if it wasn't for long. We will have to do it again. Hugs, Debra
