Submitted to insurance coordinator

I have finally finished everything I need !! My file is going over to the insurance coordinator today for a last look over.. and then hopefuly will go to BCBS next week PRAY for a quick approval My out of pocket is almost doubling next year.. I would really like to have surgery in December

Good luck Maureen, I also hope to get approved before Jan 1. What surgeon are you using? Maybe we both will be approved soon. Keep your fingers crossed & so will I.

Things are moving right along. I got my info to the insurance dept. on october 8 th but I haven't heard anything yet. Keep us posted. Deana

I have my fingers crossed that you will hear any day now. Have you done your nutriotionist review yet? I am going 11/4 I am hoping (but I may be too anxious) to get an approval as a birthday present (My bday is 10/31)

Good Luck! I hope you get the birthday present you want. I know I did. I was hoping to have surgery before my birthday as a present. And it came true. I am having surgery 11/8 and my birthday is 11/25. I have bcbs federal (which uses bcbs of ga) and got approved 4 days after they finally received my paperwork. But, it was actually 3 weeks from the first time it was faxed in. We had to fax it in 4 times to 3 different numbers. I called them everyday to see if they had received the fax and they would tell me it took so many days to get into the system. I would call back on that day and they would say they still did not have it and to fax it again, each time I received a different phone number. Finally I managed to get transferred to the pre-cert department and they gave me a different fax number. Once it was faxed there, I was approved in 4 days. Either way I thought 3 weeks was not too bad. The people answering the phones were always very friendly. Also, I had to send in my nutrition consult with the other paperwork to BCBS.
