Experiences with Emory Dunwoody
Oh my goodness, YES it is really that great! If you hear any negative comments then they must've caught the staff on a bad day which I couldn't imagine happening. All the nurses are trained and full of knowledge when it comes to WLS. They answered all the questions I had leaving me with complete understanding. (You just have to be sure you ask about anything....take advantage of them!!) They took such good care of me that I actually sent my mother home because she was nagging me too much!!!
Let me back up, my wonderful experience started when I went for pre-registration. All of the staff were so helpful, caring and encouraging. But of course the nurses on the WLS floor are the best anywhere.
Good luck! I know you wouldn't be disappointed using Emory Dunwoody.
Hi Michele
I can only give you pros about Emory Dunwoody. I had a wonderful experience there & can honestly say that they are a great facility. When I was in college for nursing I did a lot of clinical rotations through various hospitals, now while I was not a patient at those, I did see all the hustle & bustle and impersonal issues that some of the larger hospitals have. Emory Dunwoody is a small facility, but the nurses and staff are wonderful. Even when I was in the office my day of preop filling out all of the paperwork I felt so at ease. The lady setting up my billing info had actually had the surgery a couple of years prior & was so supportive and not to mention she looked awesome which was so encouraging. The nurses are great and very well trained in relation to bariatric patients. Because of their set up & size you get a lot of individual attention. If you can't tell, I highly recommend them
Best wishes & God bless
