I am miserable

My throat is on fire. I feel like ass. I dont want to call my surgeon this late, so what can I take?I have a cough and sore throat. Can I take nyquil?

Kay, Go to CVS they are open till 10 and get you the new triaminic childrens sore throat and cough strips like the new listerine pocket packs. They should help ease the throat pain and won't be too overbearing. You can probably take one in half the time as a child would. It shouldn't bother your stomach. I hope you feel better.

THIS IS FOR EVERYONE!!! If you have a fever and a sore throat or tickly cough, GO TO THE DOCTOR. You most likely have strep throat, which will NOT clear up by itself and can progress into endocarditis -- your heart gets a bacterial infection. don't mess around with OTC meds, old folk remedies, or anything like that. They have liquid antibiotics for new post-ops, or this wonderful new drug called Kefpack or something like that. It's more powerful than the zithromycin Z-packs. 5 pills for 5 days, and you're done. DON'T MESS AROUND WITH STREP THROAT!!! Lorri
