I can't believe it I am APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just got off the phone with BCBS/HMO. I have an approval # too!!

I keep pinching myself to make sure I'm not dreaming. I never thought I hear that sweet word. I really have to buckle down and lose some weight so I can have surgery. If I go for my pre-op and haven't lost or have gained I'll be cancelled.

Can you say pass the sf Jello please!

Debbie, I'm so excited for you. How long did it take for your approval? I have the same insurance and my paper work will be submitted this week. I have an January 2005 surgery date. Tammie G.

Tammie thank you. I attended my surgeon's seminar in Feb., submitted paperwork, begin my appts. for ins. requirements at the beginning of July. I was approved on 10/5 and found out today. I called on 10/5 but it wasn't showing in the system then. When my dr's office gets the approval letter from BCBS they'll schedule my date. They don't schedule any til they get that letter. I hope they have it by the end of October. Debbie

Debbie, CONGRATULATIONS!!!! I will do my special weight loss dance for you, but I should be honest and say that it really never worked for me!! If you crave chocolate at all, I really love the sugar free fudgecicles, when is your pre-op? I know that they are problably some great tips on this board for weight loss, also maybe your surgeon has some suggestions. Good Luck Cathy Martin

Thank you Cathy! I don't have a pre-op yet. When my surgeon receives the ins. letter they will schedule my dates. I think knowing I am approved will help with the weight loss. I don't want to mess up getting to have this surgery.
