Getting a date

How long is it usually between getting approval and getting a date? I got approved on the 4th, got letter on the 6th. Talked to ins. person at dr.'s office and she said she would verify with insurance and call me back to schedule something, I was thinking either Wednesday or Thursday. I left a message Thurs. and Friday and still no call. should I keep calling? I don't want to be a pest just wondering if this is normal.

Hi, I was approved on 9/22....and still waiting on a date. My Dr's office said that it takes 2 - 3 weeks after you get approved get a date. But I am useing Dr Smith, so hopefully your Dr will be faster. Good Luck, Martha

I'm going thru Obesity Solutions with Dr. Procter. She did tell me we were looking at the 3rd, but my Daughter is haveing a c-section on the fourth. So I wanted to wait til the next week, so I could keep the grandkids while she is in the hospital. So she was going to verify insurance and call me back. Or maybe I misunderstood something. I feel like I am sitting on pins and needles. But still not as bad as waiting on the insurance approval.

Hey Darla I am using the same doctor, but have not been submitted for approval yet. When she said the 3rd...did she mean November or December? I am so hoping to have surgery by year end.

Hello Maureen, I also am waiting for approval from my Insurance Co. That has been the hardest thing so far. I have called my Insurance Co. everyday hoping to hear some good news, but nothing yet. Still pending. I to hope to get my surgery before Jan 1, for deductable reasons. I have already paid over $800.00 out of my packet. Keep me updated with your progress. Hiya Tammy My max out of pocket is just about doubling 12/1... so I totally understand How long ago did you get submitted through insurance? How long did it take after you had all the necessary clearances for them to submit? I will pray that you get approved SOON

I am thinking she meant November. Because when it went to insurance I asked how long it would be after approval to surgery, and they said 2-3 weeks. She called me back finally today but I was out of the room and didn't hear my cell phone so I called back and left a message AGAIN!
