I start back to work tomorrow and no one, but my boss knows about the surgery. For the people that did not tell their coworkers how did you handle the question when they asked you why you were eating so little and not eating the stuff you normally do? Right now for lunch i have jello and yorgurt packed, which is not norm?
I wish I could help you with that one Robin...I have been very open about what I did, (which has partially to do that with the fact that I have a BIG mouth, and partially because I got so sick of hearing people say things like "I know someone who had that surgery that died!". I figure if I talk about mine, and I continue to do well, they will start saying to new people, "I know someone who had that surgery and she is doing GREAT!).
I know that is my personal preference, and I CERTAINLY respect yours, as some people are not so understanding....
I wish you the best of luck. Just tell them you are dieting and you eat your bigger meals at breakfast and dinner...?? Just a thought.

Robin, if you don't want to tell them about the surgery then just tell them you are on a diet and are not hungry. That won't be a lie. But like Modean I have always loved to talk too and told everyone. I am actually proud of the fact that I took the risk to better myself. I am proud of all people who go through this. It takes a lot od courage. I am proud of you too. Others have plastic surgery for breast and lips and whatever and no one says anything to them, so they shouldn't to us.
Hugs,
Debra
