A robe? This is silly I know. But, I am so hot natured that I don't own one! I just have the long sleeved gowns. Do you think I will need one for the hospital stay? And if so, what type do you think I will need? Thanks in advance! Any other advice about necessities would be helpful and appreciated! Kathy

They had everything I needed at Emory Dunwoody - robe-lip ointment, etc Just bring your slippers for walking...(they do provide slipper sox though) I sure wish I could have talked them into letting me take the foot massager machine home... ;) ... The room had it's own AC too, which was great! The nurses kept lookign at me oddly cuz i had it sub-zero in there!

I say NO! I didn't bring PJs or a robe. The hospital gown was plenty big and comfy and I use an extra gown turned backwards for a robe while I walked. Take only the essentials. Hugs, TOnya

Hi Kathy! I had my surgery on 09/23/04 and did take a robe but with the IV I could not use it at first anyway. I used another gown over the first one and had the opening in front, worked great. Hope this helps. Tina N

Nahhh... Go minimal to the hospital. The only things I took were the LOOSE clothes I needed to wear home.. (if you are having open rny, I would suggest a really comfy sports bra) and my hair brush. Everything else was there... unless you want to fix your hair the next day..there is no hair dryer... but they gave me shampoo and everything... GOOD LUCK girlie! I'll be checking in with you!! -Tami

Kathy, I bought one for my operation but never used it...took it back and got a refund. If you purchase one, be sure it opens in the front...easier to get over IVs. Hugs, Becky
