Visited Wanda Boyd tonight!

MAN!! She looks GREAT!!! She is having some problems with gas, but she looks and sounds great!! Her doc told her he did her leak test before he closed her up. Have you ever heard of that?? My leak test was the day after surgery. When she asked her surgeon about the leak test he told her he did it before he closed her. I know all surgeons are different...just wondered if you had heard of this one.... -Tami

That is wonderful that she is doing and looking great. Yes, Dr. Duncan does a leak test before the end of surgery to check all three sites of staples and then does one the next morning just to make sure that everything is okay. See you sat. Connie

LOL Funny you mentioned this. My doctor did a leak test before he closed me and my mom was sick to her stomach seeing my green pee bag for a day or so. Then when I had the leak test the next day I was so thirsty that it didn't even taste bad to me.

Glad to hear the great news!!! MY WOULD be DR does the leak test before your closed also... that is one thing that I inquired about in my research. He also does one the day after from what I understand. Ginger

I have the same Dr. as Wanda. When I asked about the leak test the day after surgery he told me he doesn't do them on everyone. We watches for certain things the first days after and if there is any question he will do it but if everything continues great he doesn't run the expense for people.
