Hello Everyone, Making a shopping list for items I may need for next week, any suggestions? I bought liquid multi-vitamin (Centrum) and have been gagging already. I want to know what has worked best for you, I am low on iron so I know I will need iron supplements. Also, I am drinking slimfast 2g net carb drinks, but I know I will need to get another kind of protein drink, any suggestions? By the way, I detest Chocolate, so anything other than Choc. would be great. Thank you. J.

I take centrum chewables. They have an orange flavor and aren't bad at all. I get them from Wal-mart or Target and pay less than $6.00 for 90 tablets and less then $10.00 for a bottle of 120. I think they actually taste pretty decent. Tonya

Oh also...I use the Nectar protein and Unjury flavorless protein. I like both but actually prefer the Nectars(roadside lemonade & fuzzy navel) or Whey Fruity(tropical punch) I buy them from bariatriceating.com Tonya

Thanks Tonya, I haven't tried chewables, it's only been one extreme to the other, the horse pills or the liquid. The liquid is just awful.

Hey, J I tired the Centrum liquid. I looked on the nutrition forum here and notice that Centrum liquid has alchol in it. So, I stopped using it and switched to centrum chewable. Good luck on your surgery. Serita July 12 04 Dr. Burrowes

I am pre-op, without a date yet, but have been experimenting with Protein Drinks. I really like the ease and do not mind the taste of the Isopure bottled protein drinks.... about $3.50 each from GNC... and you can buy a GNC discount card. The Pineapple banana one is my fav right now. If I remember properly they have 35g Protein and 0 carbs. I take one to work every day, and do not have to worry about making shakes, etc For vitamins.. I bought some Centrum chewable at Walmart..and agree that they do not taste bad. I have not found chewable iron or calcium as yet. I did get sublingual B 12 from Walmart as well Good luck to you !

I love the Unjury unflavored protein. I am using it in my sugar free koolaid and like it alot. I just got samples of some of the nectars and will try them after next week. Everybody says that your tastes change so much after surgery that I haven't even tried those. I have also used the pre-bottled Isopure drinks too. Right now I like the pineapple and the grape the best. As for vitamins, I have liquid Glacial Milk viatmins (http://www.glacialmilk.net/cnSFsupps.htm). I have not even tasted them. I have the sublingual B-12 that I got at Walmart. Hmmm...I think that's all I have for right now. We'll see how it goes Wednesday won't we? Good luck! We'll become losers the same day! What a rush! Ok.. Liquid vitamins. Go to your local health store, and buy their liquid. The one I get is from a shop on the corner of Windy hill and Powers ferry. its orange flavored, and I mix it with a little OJ, (lite, or carb countdown) and I never taste it. Cannon light and fit low carb yogurt smoothies are wonderful tasting (much better than carb countdown smoothies) and have 8 grams, and 2 or 3 sugar. I drink on every morning. I also like nectar fuzzy navel with above said OJ and vitamins, and its an all-in-one orange drink. We need to meet so I can give you your bag!! Kay
