-172lbs BEST PRESENT EVER!

Well today is my 28th birthday! This time last year I felt I didn't have much hope to have this surgery. I had been told by one surgeon I was too large to operate on. The surgeon he referred me to was booked out for 18 months or more. I have to the point I didn't think this was going to happen. I kept the faith, mostly in part from the people of this site. I'm thankful to so many people on here. I'm very thankful for people like, Lissa Reed, Kirk Thompson (Crow) and Pete (Big Pete). If they had not been so open with their experiences I would have given up. It's because of them I knew there was hope for someone my size. I didn't give up either. After MANY prayers the surgeon that was booked out 18 months I found his email and emailed him personally. He emailed me back!! So after 3 surgeon's, I was able to get into him 4 months after my birthday. This has been the best gift I could have given my self. When I went in to see my surgeon this past Feb 16th, I weighed in at 615 pounds! I'm now down by 172 pounds!! I had surgery just about 4 months ago and would do it over and over. The results so far is saving my life! I have a life again. I still want to lose another 200 pounds. This surgery has opened my eyes to know that I CAN DO THIS!! So those of you still struggling, DO NOT GIVE UP!! You have nothing to lose, but weight and it's so worth it! It was hard for me to hear from my surgeon that most people over 600 pounds don't make it past age 33! Now I know in myself that I'm going to for pass that age!
