I want to come!

I have been reading post on this page for a year. I have only posted once about six months ago. Stopped loggin on to the sited about three months ago because I lose my job and just didn't get on the computer at home. Last month when you all went to D&B I wanted to come but had to go out of town. So I would love to come saturday I had my 1 year date on Oct. 3, this pass Sunday. I have been in a shell to long and when I was pre-op the people that was in my life was not helpful to my life and after coming post-op I had to realize to be healthly inside and out I had to let those people go. Which has left me without any friends currently and I have to come out of my comfort zone to meet new people. So hopefully new people are welcome....

Hi Latrice,new people are welcomed ,I feel very welcomed and I am somewhat new to and these people really make me feel at home,before I got on this board I was always so quiet and shy never talked to anybody but now I love talking to people for I am so grateful to have such a wonderful support group here I to hope I am going to be able to come saturday not really sure yet,but if you need anything let me know I am still pre-op,but would love to become friends for I could use a good friend myself.....huggssss Amy

Hi Latrice, Come and join the fun. This will be my first time too. My comfort zone has expanded to involve all the great people in this group. Let me know if you ever need anything. I am only starting my fourth month out from surgery but I will do anything I can to help. You have a ton of friends in this group that really do care about you. EVERYONE is welcome.....both pre-op AND post-op!!! We have a wonderful time being there for each other! I honestly can say that this group of people are some of the NICEST people I've ever met in my life. PLEASE feel free to join us! We have a blast!!! See ya there?!?! Dee Dee

Hi Latrice. This will be my first meeting also. I just found this great group a few weeks ago and love it. I am pre-op and have lost friends also because of WLS. I went thur losing friends because of my health 21 years ago when I lost my right hand to cancer. So then and now I say its there lost not mine, if they can't handle what life deals me. I would love to talk to you Saturday. See you there, Martha

Hey Latrice: I am new also, I just been reading all the post and not really having much to say either. But everyone sure sounds like GREAT friends to have. I, too will be looking forward to meeting up with you Saturday. I understand that this will also be a clothes swap, so I am bringing some big ole shirts and stuff...hahaha! yeah! I guess Im not as new as some... but I have never met anyone here either. I am so excited. They are all very wonderful people and will make you feel very welcome. Well Im thinking this out loud because online I have been made to feel that way!! Im so excited about going and meeting new people too. Outside of my kids life at the softball field, basketball court, soccor field ect .... I really dont have a social life. So Come on out and lets all have fun together! Hi Latrice! I've been on the site for a couple of years, but I've never met anyone at this meeting coming up. Please come!! This is alway a huge step for me!!
