Dr Appeal????

has any one used this doctor? Im looking to meeting with him next week and his office will start working with insurance. Jennifer

You mean Dr Appel? He is an EXCELLENT surgeon! Mind you...he doesn not have a good bedside manner and will probably make you think twice about what you are doing in huis office...it's a scare tactic he uses to make sure that you are READY and know what you are getting yourself into. I had surgery with his partner, Dr. Steinberg because I had it done lap...Appel only does open. We have support groups for both pre and post op patients twice a month. Go to Yahoo groups and type in appel or steinberg and sign up on the OWLS message board. Good luck on your journey! Sherry

Sherry is right, he has a dry sense of humor, but he is a great doctor! But my hubby said it's not the bedside manner that counts, he is a super doctor with a great reputation. He is very serious about this surgery and just wants to make sure that you know EXACTLY what you are about to do. I am very happy with the care I have received from him and his staff. They have a wonderful support group, too! It is for both pre- and post-op and is headed by a psychologist, Dr. Ritz. Look forward to meeting you! Patti
