Well, they readvertised the positions again yesterday. Sigh. I called the guy I interviewed with on Monday and left him a message to please call me. Haven't heard a word. I'm guessing that is NOT a good sign. Hope something else comes up soon. Please pray for me!! I can't stand being broke!! Ann in Duluth

I know its not the ideal job search, but you could try a temporary job service until you can find something perminent. Sometimes people find great jobs through them. Just an idea. My prayers and best wishes are with you. Hugs, Debra

Thanks, but I've already signed up with two and have never had a SINGLE call from either one!! I worked for temp services when I was in college, and it was fine. My problem now is that most of the temp jobs are secretarial and I haven't done that in over 25 years. I've been in IT all that time. There are contracting jobs for IT, but not that many needing the particular skills I have. Permanent jobs in IT are even harder. I've applied at a call center several times and haven't been hired - I'm thinking I may have to just go to WalMart or something, and I've never worked retail in my life!! Sheesh - would they even hire me? I can see it now - you've been a computer programmer, analyst and database administrator for over 25 years, and you want a job as a cashier?? Why, yes, if it comes with benefits!!! Sigh. It's very hard NOT to be discouraged now. I just tried to call the guy at Delta again and got his voice mail - again. Ann in Duluth

I am sorry you are having problems finding a job. My son is computer certified in Microsoft and A+ and has never been able to find a job in his field - he only finds occasional contract jobs. We thought the market was better in Atlanta. Manpower has a professional technical division but they do not pay too much. I am sure you are registered in the Web also.
