Frustated !

Am I being impatient? I heard from the bariatric nurse, and have an appt with her, the nutritionist, and the sleep center next Friday. They called three weeks ago to set this up. I have been waiting patiently for the surgeon's office to call to set up my consult as well. I was hoping to have that the same day, so I only have to take one vacation day. I have left several messages, and cannot seem to find out anything from the surgeons office. I was told that the person may take a while to get back to me. I know they are busy, but I am impatient !!

Maureen, When I started out I told myself I was just going to go with the flow and not get stressed. I knew it was going to take a long time. I was figuring 3-4 months. My surgeons consult was 2 weeks after my application reveiw. Usually the office staff will call back within 24 hours. I went to the info meeting in May. Then went on vacation and app. reveiw in June when I got back. Then followed the surgeon, then sleep study 1 & 2. Now have CPAP machine and file finally at insurance. Now I am really tired of waiting. We just have to do what we gotta do and wait. I did get a few breaks. A lady canceled her appt with surgeon and I called and asked for her appt. That cut a week off. The sleep center will call if somebody cancels. Just hang in there, and jump thru the hoops. Good Luck to you.

Thanks Darlene I thought I would be able to see the surgeon the same day as the app review. I guess that was wishful thinking on my part !

Hi Maureen, I agree with Darlene. I started working on my surgery in early January, and got approval and a date on 5-28. My surgery was then on 7-13. So, try really hard to take deep breaths and be prepared to "hurry up and wait"! Lol! -Tami

Thanks I just am so confused about the "order" of things to be done. I have the App review next Friday, and I am getting the PCP referral on Tuesday (She wanted me to have EKG and Chest Xray first...which I did Wed morning). I guess after all that, and the sleep center, and the psych...THEN I get my surgeon consult. I have this whole thing out of order in my mind
