In the county I live, DFACS helps mothers with children's Christmas if they can't afford anything. My company sometimes sponsors children. We usually give money and someone "shops" for the gifts. Sometimes they ask us to help with something in particular...like a bicycle, etc. Start with DFACS or maybe even the Marine Corp's Toys for Tots. (Hey, maybe you could snag a marine in the meantime...not a bad deal! LOL) Good luck to you!

Hi Wanda, You could try checking with your child's school. The counselor's office is the place to start. Or if the school system has a social worker they can help too. Hope this helps. Take care, Debbie

I would suggest checking with local churches. Many of them adopt families for Christmas or refer the families to private companies that adopt. The company I work for gets names from the local churches. Also, I believe the Salvation Army does Christmas for families. Good Luck! Tonya

My local American Legion does food baskets for needy families - check with yours and maybe they do, also. Ann in Duluth
