Bruising?

Hey you post ops, did you have alot of bruising on your stomach after surgery at the incision points and in other places? I've got bruising in places I don't have incisions... Hubby and I are wondering what it is from!

Yes. I had bruises near my incision sites and a hirribly ugly huge bruise on my lower abdomen. I went away in a little over a week. It's normal.

Girl, I was one BIG bruise! I had bruises all over my stomach, the nurse told me some of it had to do with where the surgeon had to place part of the instruments used, and the pressure from it caused bruising. I had bruises from all the heparin shots in both legs, and bruises in both arms, where they tried to find my veins... They do go away.... I promise your doc wasn't beating you up in surgery! HEE HEE!! (Even though it feels like it!) -Tami
