Preparing for surgery next week

Ok, yesterday was a really tough day for me. It suddenly became "real" that hubby and I would be away from our children for two entire days and I was feeling so unprepared and almost panicky! I have a very dear friend who will be taking care of my children and home while we are away but still we have never been away from them before like this. They are 8 and 4. Thankfully school starts tomorrow so they will have that to occupy their time. I know these feelings will pass.. today has been better. I just feel like I have so much to do before next week arrives !

Hey Tracy, I know what you mean, suddenly today at lunch with my other half we started talking about next week (surgery date 8/13) and what the plans for the kids would be. Luckily, mine are 16 & 13, but still worry about them and who will be home and who will be at hospital. Anxiety definately setting in. Good luck with your surgery!!
