Update on Kelle (i.e. Me)

Hey guys, just wanted to drop by and say hi before I trundle off to bed. I went to the doctor this morning and after an hour and 45 minutes I finally was admitted into the inner sanctum of the office and sat for another good 15 minutes....anyhoo....tomorrow is my four week mark out of surgery and I've lost 40 pounds...yea me! The doctor isn't sure if the knot I have is an hernia yet or not. We'll have to keep an eye on it...not what I wanted to hear but I guess it's all I'm gonna get for now. He tried to take out my gastric tube, but the internal stitch hasn't disolved, so it wouldn't come out. Big bummer there cause the thing is hurting! Guess I'll have to live with it another couple of weeks. Hope ya'll are all doing good. Keeping you guys all in my thoughts and can't wait to see you at the next dinner! Kelle

Kelle, good luck.... i didnt have a drain but i hear they are not comfortable... sorry about that but the weight loss is terriffic...

I'm so glad things are going well for you!!!! I can't wait to see you at the dinner! I'm sure this first month has seemed long and arduous....but it's worth it. I'm still learning everyday about different foods I can tolerate. I know this journey is an exciting one for me - and I know you'll feel whole again once the drain is out! Remember - CHEW CHEW CHEW......eat slowly. It's become a MAJOR key in the foods I eat. ((Miss ya!!!)) Dee Dee
