Who is best Dr in Atl area?
My surgeon was Dr. O. Bruce Case and I can't say enough about him. There was not one single bad thing about him. It is my understanding he has not lost a patient and he himself is the most patient, caring and understanding doctor I've ever met. His office is at Northside and his nurse and office manager are both adorable, sweet and helpful ladies.
If you try Dr. Case, he will take his time with you, go over everything THOROUGHLY, make sure you understand what you're getting yourself into, and answer any questions you may have. Since my surgery, he's been my biggest cheerleader and is always so excited to see me and follow my success.
Dr. Case is awesome in having a very small practice compared to a big one with so many people in the office. Now that I think about it, I really like that because they got to know me personally and I always feel like somebody important when I see them or call with a need.
Good luck!

Another vote for Dr. Duncan here. You can see him on Fox 5 T.V. on Thursday mornings between 8:00 and 8:30 as he is one of their house call docs. He does segments on a variety of health issues whi*****lude nutrition and weight loss. You are doing exactly what you should be doing which is your homework. Whoever you choose, be comfortable in your choice.
Good luck!

Even though Emory Bariatrics needs (in my view) to be more organized for the patients - I highly recommend Dr. Lin and all the surgeons at Emory. It is a major university hospital and the medical staff is top-notch. I am working with my doctor right now on what my options are. Dee
Ok...I GOTTA chip in here....
I could not have asked for a more thorough, skilled, personable doctor than Dr. Robert Richard in the Gainesville area.
The website to his office is www.obesitysolutions.com.

As with everyone else here I must urge you to make sure YOU are happy with the Doctor you use. I used Dr. Celio Burrowes. I'm extremely happy with his professional and personal level of care with the program he offers. I was also please with the "Aftercare angels" he offeres for the first 30 days post op. They are wonderful people who have been through the process and can assist with the newness of the procedure.
Your Dr. is a personal choice....I did research and am thoroughly satisfied with who I chose!...Good luck with your decision!
My vote is for Dr. Christopher Hart. I am 6 months post op and can tell you that Dr. Hart has been very informative before and after. He really cares about his patients and worked with me. He is a very experienced surgeon and his bariatric coordinator was wonderful and on top of what the insurance company wanted and in what form. Every day in the hospital, Dr. Hart came to visit and see how I was doing.
I had one problem when the day after I reintroduced food. I was told to go slow but I introduced 2 T. of egg beaters but it was too much for my new system. Dr. Hart called me back within minutes from his answering service and with instructions. Early in the morning, his office called and make sure I was doing okay. That was my only problem in all the time but it meant alot that he cared enough to call me back immediately.
They office helped with types of protein and all kinds of information.
I wish you luck on your journey.
