i just had surgery,out for 2days,

i have had a fever for 2 days after being released from the hospital that only come around at night and now when i drink'sip' ant types of fluids i get sick to my stomach real bad, should i call the hospital or let it go?

How high is your fever? My doctor said anything over 101 call him. You need fluids too. Does your doctor have a number where he can be reached on the weekends? If not call the hospital. They always tell say to call if any problems. Hope you feel better. Patsy

I have heard that it is common to run a low grade fever at night after surgery but I have always been uncomfortable with that. My friend was running a low grade fever and she ended up hospitalized with a drain site infection. Please monitor it closely and contact your Dr if it reaches 100. Do you still have a drain?
