Hey Stacie, I know the feeling, I'm not sure if I'm full, hungry(cause of the rumblin), or if it's nausea. In the morning I'm drinking my protein drink- choc. whey protein, it's really good, then for lunch and supper I'm doing the 98%fat free cream of chicken soup with a sf popsicle. It's getting a little boring and I can't wait until Fri. when I can do the scammbled eggs!!!! Keep up the positive attitude I'm sure it will get better!!!!!!! Glad to see your doing well too!!!!! Best wishes, Carrie

You guys are FRESH post ops. You have to give the stomach time to heal. Don't be in a rush to try new foods. I'm still new to eating solids - and trust me...it's not always pleasant! You have to allow for the adjustment. I'm as hard headed as it comes....but PLEASE just do what the doctor says and you'll be fine. You'll know when you're too full....you'll know when you've eaten something wrong. Give yourselves time! You'll get there!

I had gas so bad, I was in pain. When Dr. Duncan called to check on me two days after surgery, I asked about the gas. He said I could take two chewable Gas-x. It knocked that gas right on outta there Just thought I'd pass this bit of info on to you guys. Oh, and be careful when you get to full liquids, I dumped off runny grits and runny mash potatoes, both which were on my full liquids list. But I love sugar free fudge pops!!! Anyway, it'll be worth it when you see those pounds coming off. If any of you have any questions or just want to talk, vent, etc!!! Please drop me a line Smooches Chandra Lap Rny 6/22/04 - 15 lbs

Stacie, I was told 2oz every half hour. Have you tried that. Make sure your sipping on fluids as often as you can. I'd hate for you to get dehydrated. Remind me of this next week ok.LOL Tonya

God, maybe I'm eating too much! I'm eating about 4 oz at a time, for the big meals and a sf popsicle or something like that in between. I'm doing better at getting my water in, I made it a big priority. I haven't eaten any solid food yet except my mom made a roast that she cooked for a day and a half and I had some of the potato and carrot, mashed up real good with the broth on it. I swear that was the best thing I've had! And nothing has made me dump yet. The lactose free milk I'm using for my shakes makes me have to go to the bathroom, but it seems like everything does. The gas and diarrea have been the most painful thing! Can't wait to start eating cheese and eggs, but for me that's another two weeks away, though once Mom goes home, I might cheat a little and have some cottage cheese! Kelle
