Through the first of many hurdles

My PCP completed the medically necessary letter! yea. I have completed my dietician eval! yea. Next week I will complete my psych eval. Hey have any of you had your PCP order you to see the Pulmonologist and Cardiologist along with having a gallbladder ultrasound? Mine went ahead and ordered those before I see Dr. Hixon. So in a way I am thankful since it helps with the waiting time before I see him and when I do I have already done alot of the pre-op stuff. On the second hand I don't want to do it and then have to redo either...... lynn

Lynn, When I first mentioned WLS to my PCP he was very very supportive and ordered the PFT, gallbladder ultrasound, bloodwork and sleep study for me right away. He said that even if I didn't have the surgery it would be good for me to have those tests. He has been SUPER! All I'm waiting on now is the phsychological exam and then it's off to the insurance!
