I wanna be a loser!!!

Does ne1 have bcbs ppo of ga, and if so what were there requirments for surgery???? any help/advice is sooooo greatly appreciated!! Carmen

Hey Carmen. I have BCBS of S.C. I dont know of specific differences except Ga wants prerequisits like diet history, bloodwork, et. DO you already have a surgeon? If not, check with Donna at Dr. Gooden office at 706-724-5451 in Augusta ga. They did all my insurance work, all I had to do was give them a copy of my insurance card. Be Blessed, Shawnna

I have BC/BS POS of GA. My surgeon's office gave me a sheet that just says BC/BS requires these things to be submitted before they will review for a decision. PCP-medical clearance lettter along with diet history and his recommendation. Thyroid Panel (blood work results), nutrionist evaluation & letter (this was the only thing I had to pay for out of pocket), and Psycological evaluation and letter. Have you chosen who you want to do your surgery? Each doctor may have some additional requirements of their own. I hope this helps. Hugs and prayers, Theresa (waiting for insurance approval)

I also have bcbs ppo of ga, and I needed the same as the girl above. I know it seems like alot, but it is worth it in the end. Just wait till you are approved and going for all those test!!!! Anyway I never had a moments trouble with bcbs, I called them all the time! I would ask the same question 2 times a day so I had a consitant answer. I would take down names and times of call. I am self pay and had a pre-existing clause on my policy so I had to wait a year. that was ok, It made me have time to really think about it. They even approved me before the time had expired! It took only 2 days for the approval and about a week in all for the doc.s office to get the letter.....GOOD LUCK! I hope you have it as easy as me......I am sure you will with bcbs! Just have every thing they ask for!
