I am switching to Blue Ch...

I am switching to Blue Choice HMO (Gwinnett Co. School Board). Has anyone had luck getting approval?

I have Blue Choice HMO (Cherokee Co. School District) and had surgery this past Monday. I got approval on the first try. They also reimbursed me for the psch eval...but I did have prior approval and a referral from my PCP.

I am on BCBS HMO (Coweta Co. schools ), and i was approved in 3 days , it has been great so far ,, there has been rumours a couple of months ago that they wouldnt covering the surgery in GA in 2005 ,, but i havent seen anything on that in a while . Good luck Travis

I also switched to Blue Choice HMO. I work with the State (Community Service Board). I have to wait until July 1 to start the approval process, though. I interested to see how this is going to work. Hopefully, well have no problems. GOOD LUCK!

Looks like alot of us changed insurance at open enrollment. I did too. I have all my ologist done except for the psychologist and am hoping to have it done July 1. Then I'm off for approval. I hope mine is approved so quickly. I work for Pulaski Co. Schools as district Technology Specialist. Robin

You have been very helpful. Does anyone know which doctors Blue Choice will cover that are good?

I have Blue Choice. I just got approved for surgery and they also paid for my pschological evaluation and my nutritional evaluation. I found that Dr. Ross Grumet 404-685-9414 and Nutritionist Jackie Oleski 404-605-3633 were Blue Choice providers. BCBS denied the psychologist at first but then paid it because BCBS required a psc evaluation to get the surgery. Hope this info helps. Thanks for being so helpful. How long did it take for your approval? How long did it take for you to complete all the requirments that Blue Chioce demanded? Was you regular Dr. willing to recommend you for the procedure? When is your surgey? Sincerely, Charlene
