How do you review Military physician qualifications?

I AM BEING PROCESSED FOR AN OPEN GASTRIC BY-PASS AT A MILITARY HOSPITAL. YOU DO NOT HAVE YOUR CHOICE OF SURGEONS. I NEED TO FIND OUT ABOUT EXPERIENCE. HOW MANY LAPS HAS HE DONE. HOW MANY SHOULD HE DO BEFORE HE IS QUALIFIED. IS IT BEST FOR THEM TO REMOVE THE REST OF THE STOMACH? I AM NOT SCARED ABOUT HAVING THE OPERATION, JUST THAT I AM IN THE BEST HANDS

I don't know how you would do that but my sons in the Navy my dauther-in law is haveing Gastric bypass her's is being done at in an out side hospital not the military hers is being done in Ocla Fl they are ststion in Orlando Fl. I'll check with him he may know how you can find out he is in the medical field. Harriett
