its getting close!
Kay,
I'm your friend although I don't live around the corner I've been reading your site for several months and feel like I kinda know you. I've seen your wedding pics, admired your selection of wedding rings, kept up with your insurance challenges, been green with envy over all the famous people that have been your customer at the car dealership and even posted a comment here & there!
So see I know lots about you and I think you are a very smart, beautiful gal with lots of potential with lots more to see & do.
I'm here if you ever want to talk or e-mail.
I would love to be your unoffical angel(do you have to be post-op to be an angel?) so that I can be some moral support and update the GA board on your successful surgery!
You do have a friend in me...although I feel like more of a stalker knowing more about you than you do about me.LOL
Tonya, you just go ahead and stalk away! You are always so kind and thoughtful to everyone on this board. You give so much of your time and energy to make others feel appreciated and supported.
Kay, girl, my best friend lives in Mableton and my car knows the way to that side of 285. If you need anything, you just let me know. Between me and Tonya, and all the other fabulous folks on the GA board, we will take care of you! Just let us know what you need!
I love these folks!
Kelle
Kelle,
Thanks for the kind words!! I think you are a wonderful source of support also. I read your post about your roommate and just couldn't thinkof the right thing to say....although I think you did right by sending him an e-mail.
Big hugs to you gal! We're gonna get together and go out soon!
Tonya
Thanks so much for the reply!
I would LOVE for you to be my angel.. I dont care who says what's official.. I suppose its official if we say its official! I guess I am just kinda bummed out since all of my friends have been pushed away.. I dont have the time for their problems when they cant even help me with mine. I have one friend whom I told about surgery, and she said "ah" and changed the subject, and every time I talk about it, it gets turn around to be about her. Then she calls me this week to tell me a friend sisters husband's cousin's next door neighbors's dog sitter had it done and died and the fatality rate was 1 in 100. WTF? Anyways, I dont mean to look for a pity party. We need to all get together.. whens the last time the atlanta board had a get together?
Anyways, email me and I will love to give you my hospital info
Thank you!
You have mail! Check your in-box! I am so honored to be your Angel! I vow to do my best from 1.5 hrs away!LOL
So my lil angelette...you have a wonderful time in FL and rest easy knowing that we at the GA board are lifting you up in prayer and will be here for encouragement and support!
Your Angel,
Tonya
Hi Kay. I felt the same way you do before surgery - but there really isn't much you can do. If you do happen to smoke you should quit. Other than that - you will be in and on the other side in no time. Because of you age, you should do really well. You will be sore for a few days. My son had a drain and his soreness did not last as long as mine did (I had no drain). I had a few oxygen problems and ran a small temp one night but that was about it. The biggest issue you will have when you get home is getting used to your pouch. You will miss food for the first few days and think you are hungry. After a few days the hunger will go away. I have been on a soft/liquid diet for 12 days and haved learned fast what I can and cannot eat. I am down 22 lbs. and Andrew is down 30 lbs. You may want to enjoy some of your favorite foods in moderation before the surgery. Do not bring too many personal items to the hospital with you because you will not need them. Best of luck and blessings to you as you start on this wonderful journey.
