Recieved statement from BCBS of GA

Opened up the letter and it stated that my surgery had been paid for. The $200 I paid before I had my meeting with the anesthesiologist and had my EKG done was all that I had to pay. The total cost from Atlanta Medical Center was around $49,800.00 and I only had to pay $200. If there are any folks out there who were curious about costs, I hope this helps. I have BCBS POS Option and it is 80/20 for in-patient. There was $1,000 of some cost that I had to pay (I think this is the pre-op stuff) and I had to pay 20% of that, $200. Joe

I knew you were real interested in what the costs were. I hope this helps you. On my insurance card it shows 80/20 for in-patient care. I was getting mentally (and financially) prepared to pay 20% of the $48,000. I was pleasantly surprised when I got their letter. Good luck to you Tracy Joe
