insurance....

Just talked to my insurance co......I was denied...... after all this time trying to get Emory Bariatrics to file my paperwork it seems my insurance co. has changed their criteria for wls seems now they require a 6 month doctor supervised diet.... I wish I had known this 6 months ago when I started this journey.... I just want to cry....... this makes me so mad ...I will talk to my PCP and try to get this ball rolling. Arlene

Arlene, I'm so sad for you. I do know what you are going thru. It took me over 2 years to get my date. Do not give up. Go on the dieting plan and keep trying. My prayers are with you. I do know how upset you must be.

I just don't think I could go on another diet. I'm so totally burned out on diets and failure. I'm 57 years old, and have dieted since I was 16. I've failed myself so much that I just can't do it again. My insurance company requires that you go on a 6 month diet that you ADHERE to, yet fail. How can that be? Of course I can lose weight, but I always gain it back plus some more. I can't afford to gain any more weight.
