The Wait is the hardest part!
Today I called my insurance and found out my packet is STILL in review. First I've been told they received it 3/25, then 3/31 now 4/7. My packet is in the appeals dept because a year ago I considered doing an OPEN RNY and was denied. Since then I have changed doctors and procedures to a LAP RNY with Dr Duncan.
Today is also my birthday and I was really hoping for good news.
I've read the posts before where everyone says this is the hardest part... waiting.
Please keep me in your prayers that I will hear something very soon. I am keeping the faith .
Tracy,
Hang in there gal!! Shouldn't be too much longer.
I am waiting for my PCP to send my letter to Dr Duncan so that they can send my package into the insurance company. In the mean time I have all this nervous energy and just want to eat, eat, eat! AHHHH! LOL
Anyway, I am sending you good vibes!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY !!!! THE WAIT IS THE HARDEST PART !! IT TOOK 6 MONTHS FOR ME TO GET EVERYTHING THAT THE INSRUANCE WANTED. THEY GOT MY PACKET ON DEC 18 , 2003 AND I CALLED THEM NEARLY EVERY DAY AND FINALLY GOT APPROVED ON MARCH 10, 2004. I HAD MY SURGERY ON MARCH 31, 2004 . I WENT BACK TO WORK ON APRIL 12TH I'M DOING GREAT ! I SAY A PRAYER THAT YOU GET APPROVED SOON. LOVE, JUDY
Happy Birthday! I know how hard it is. I'm also in the waiting part of the game. I got a call from Dr. Appel's office last week that BCBS needed three additional things from me and it took me till today to get all that to them. I wanted to ask them how long it would take to get it out to BCBS but I didn't want to push my luck and make them mad at me! Now I'm wondering how long I should wait to call BCBS and verify they've received the items...I've never been patient on a good day and this stuff is killing me! Hang in there girl, we'll all get through it!
