Doctors who will do WLS on Teens

I have a friend who's 15 year old daughter is over 250 pounds. The mother and daughter really want to talk to a surgeon about WLS so that the daughter can have a 'normal' high school experience. (ex. going to proms, participating in sports, etc.) Are there any doctors in Georgia that will do WLS on somebody that young? Thanks for your help. Robin

Robin, hello! I know my surgeon does surgery on teens but I m unsure of the age! His name is Dr. Peter Henderson and he s located in Brunswick, Ga! Their # is 912-264-4840! There is also a dr in Macon but unsure of the age with them! The one in Macon is Dr. John Williams! I saw both docs and felt the best with Dr. Henderson! He has no weight limit and Dr. Williams does! But its all in taking care of your friends dtr! Hope this helps! Kerri
