Pysc. evaluation :help:

Okay , I finally get to see Dr. Duncan on May 13th but I'm trying to get ahead of the game. So far the two Doc's I have called don't take insurance so it would be $300 Now, don't get me wrong I will do whatever I need to do to have this surgery but if I don't have to pay 300 bucks I don't want too. True enough I have only called 2 doc's on Dr. Duncan's list but there has to be somebody else, that takes BCBS. I will call the others on the list tomorrow but if anybody knows a Doc who knows how to do a weight loss/surgery evaluation that takes insurances (BCBS HMO) please let me know thanks

Hi Monique; I am also on BCBS HMO. I called them and was told that Dr. Ross Grumet is covered by BCBS. The HMO does not pay for Pshchological evaluations unless it is associated with WLS. I am also using Jackie Oleski for my nutrituional evaluation. Their office told me that they accept BCBS. Let me know if you find out anything different. Patsy

I think your right because his office was the last one I decided to call and they wanted all my insurance info. instead of 1st thing coming out of their mouth is it's $300 so I think he will be great and thanks for the info. on the nutritional eveluation. Oh! one more thing who ever makes the appointments at Jennifer Kelly's office is rude. I called to cancel the appt. I made and she said that's fine in a very hurried rude way and just hung up the phone while I was trying to ask another question. So even if they took BCBS I wouldn't use her. Must hire nicer people.
