Question for Dr. Appel's patients

Can anyone who's been to Dr. Appel let me know if he required a weight lose prior to surgery? Especially if you were in the super moribly obese catagory....thanks! Kelle

I am completing the packet for Dr. Appel and, yes, he requires "Two types of Physician Supervised Dieting Documentation (must be office notes from a Physician with regular weigh-ins, must be at least six months in length each, and a summary letter is NOT sufficient)". However, they said at the orientation that they will accept something like Weigh****chers if you provide copies of your booklets showing regular weigh-ins. Hope this helps, Patti

On the protein powder, how do you mix it up? and for Dr. Appel's patients, what I mean is, during your consult with him, did he require you to loose weight before surgery? Thanks guys! Kelle
