Hi Michelle, I know what you mean.... finally, an answer after all this time., however, I have you beat by one month. I started last November and just got my approval and date for surgery on April 27th. Lets wish each other a problem free surgery and a speedy recovery. Are you having RNY? Lap or Open? I'm hopefully having Lap. Lea

Hi Michelle. I originally thought about signing up at Memorial and attended the information sessions. I hear that they are already filling up and that they are having a new procedure which is the traditional RNY but they are also putting a small band around the pouch to ensure that it will not stretch. They say if you follow their plan you should lose 75% of your excess weight by month 6. I was already signed up in Atlanta and do not want to start over again. Best wishes to you - Lisa Solis
