Georgia Support Group

I just wanted to let everyone know about a wonderful support group called Wings Around Atlanta. It is a non-surgeon specific support group, run by WLS patients, we have patients from almost every surgeon in Atlanta and the surrounding areas. We have an online group http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/WingsAroundAtlanta/ and we also meet once a month (the third Sat) at Eastside Medical Center in Snellville. I have been a member since April 2002 and have learned so much, I love that we can talk about the good and the bad. Everyone is welcome to join, I remember how hard it was to research surgeons just going to their support groups, I am amazed at how honest and open everyone at WINGS was/is about their journeys. I wanted to know the good and the bad about several surgeons before my surgery and all I had to do was ask. You would be amazed at the things that you can find out this way. Hazel
