Need to talk to someone who has done banding....

Hello, my doctor just referred me to have the stomach banding done and now I am reserching before I go to a dr. He referred me to 2 drs but still do not know who I really want to go to. My husband wants me to find out more information from people who have had it and if or what kind of complications they have had from it.....Don't know how long the process is from start to finish... have already had gallbladder testing and eeg and echo done of my heart for my primary phys. to see if there was a problem of me losing weight.... any info. would help...just wanting to know if you would recommend it. thanks.
