Death of my sister

My sister passed away from complications of the rnu surgery on Feb. 28th. her dr. was Dr.Kermie Robinson. I don't know how this happened, or why, but dr. Robinson has now stopped all surgeries. I would like to know if anyone has any info to give me. She was in terrible pain right after surgery, and was on morphine. Something was not right. Someone on the websight said, it was not related to the surgery. How do youknow that? She was in good health. It was related to her surgery, that is why she died. I would like to know why Dr. Robinson has ceased all surgeries? was anyone given an explanation for this? How did you all know about her passing away? Any answers would be appreciated. Thank You.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers. I too used Dr.Robinson. Last night was suppose to be our monthy support group meeting but it was cancelled. No reason was given. I dont know anything about what happened other than the info someone posted here yesterday. Sidney

Tammie, I am so sorry about your loss. I posted the info. A friend of mine who is a friend of your family told me the situation. She said it was an infectioin that spread and was resistant to antibiotics. If I was wrong, please accept my sincere apology. Dr. Robinson nor his staff told me anything, in fact, the only thing they said was "we are not at liberty to discuss this". I posted the info, so that other patients would understand why their surgery dates were cancelled indefinitely. Again, if I caused you and your family any further distress, I sincerely apologize. I know that this is so hard to come to terms with and I know you need closure. If I can do anything for you, please let me know. With deepest sympathy, Chandra

Dear Tammie, I am so sorry to hear about your sister and I was never given an explanation of why my surgery was cancelled on Tues. March 2, 2004. The surgery was for 9:00 am and I received a call on Monday March 1 around 3:30 pm and I had already started the prep for surgery. I was devastated until I had read on here that someone had died after surgery. I have been praying for your sister and her family even though I did not know her name and I have been praying for Dr. Robinson also. I do not know if we will ever hear from Dr. Robinson but I do hope that he will talk with you and your family so that there can be closure regarding your sisters death. Tammie, I hope your family is doing ok, I think about you guys all the time. It is still a daily struggle with the loss of my sister and I know it is with you and your family. I keep hoping days will become alittle easier. I still have my sad bad days, and I still get all kinds of reminders of my sister which come from no where and are unexpected, as I'm sure you get. they are all around, which are good but it still causes me to miss her so. I hope Dana's children are ok, I know its so very hard with them loosing both parents in just a month. I wish there was something I could do. I know that the children appreciate every thing you've done for them. My sister had two daughters but at least they still have there father and they are married. Just know I have your family in My thoughts and prayers daily and Dana is rememberd as well. I know we will get through this in time. I love this web site, At least their are alot of people that have been helped by this surgery and that makes it easier for me, and gives me so much joy and comfort knowing so many peoples lives are changed for the better. I DON'T KNOW iF YOU REMEMBER ME OR NOT! MY SISTER DIED 10/04/03 AND DR. ROBINSON WAS HER DOCTOR ALSO. IT IS STILL HARD TO BELIEVE IT HAPPENED. WE STILL BATTLE WITH OUR LOSS EVERY DAY.
