Hi TJ: I'm not sure who all you checked into, but I just wanted to suggest you consider Dr. Champion & Williams. Dr. Champion performed my surgery on 2/3/04. He is wonderful. He runs the Videoscopic Instutute of Atlanta. His office is in Marietta. He uses the Atlanta Bariatric Center @ Emory Dunwoody Hospital. My experience there was wonderful also. I know everyone is different, but I did A LOT of research before actually starting this journey (started research approx. 3 years ago) & Dr. Champion is top notch in my book. I am a nurse so I tend to be very skeptical & I analyze everything just because of my exposure in other areas. Dr. Champion's website is: www.drchampion.com. Good luck with you decision & surgery. Feel free to write if you have any other questions: [email protected]. God Bless.

Hi t.j. I heard there was a long wait for dr. duncan to but it doesnt seem to be the case.... i went to seminar in jan, had my consult in feb, all of my info is in to go to insurance and then i think it takes about 6 weeks for surgery.... somewhere along those lines... It takes awhile to get all that you need done but the time so far has flown, I started with another surgeon in columbus ga, the last of october, had all my test done, changed to dr. duncan and got a seminar date pretty guick.... I used Dr. Duncan. I went to the seminar in early October, consult 10/16, Pre-op on 1/29 and surgery on 2/17/04. Not long, all in all 4 months. Believe me Dr. D is worth it. Hobson did my surgery and I have had absolutely no problems except for gas and that is nothing new for me. I highly recommend Dr. D bu****ch out for Joyce she will lie to you at the drop of a hat. She told me that my surgery date was going to be moved up due to a situation that I had but at the last minute she said no there were no openings when just the day before she told me there were several. Turns out she has done this to several people so just fair warning. Other than Joyce everyone in Dr. D's office is top-notch! Good luck! Tiff (Lap RNY 2/17/04 - 245lbs. - 236 lbs.)

I suggest Dr. Hart. I had surgery with him and I really liked him.
