Okay, So I Went to Emory...
Okay, so I went to the seminar. I will say that en route I did make a lot of interesting observations. Some even during the seminar. At some points, I almost laughed out loud--but I didn't. Anyway, it was let's just say "different". They people who got you registered were really helpful. They weighed us and took our height. I weighed in at about 365. This is about 10lbs less that I predicted in my previous posts. Also, I found out that I am actually 1-1/2 inches shorter than I thought I was. I am only 6ft 1/2 inch tall. I have a BMI of about 48. A person of my size frame and height shoould weigh about 185. So, I pretty much need to get rid of another person. It's that damn Gemini in me! The seminar was informative and Dr's K and Dr. S spoke. I don't think I would have a problem with either one of them. The seem like smart folks and weren't arrogant or anything. And Dr. K is a very pretty woman. I know that I want the Roux en Y surgery. At this point, the ball is very much in my court as what to do next. Here is where I NEED SOME HELP! Can someone PLEASE recommend an Internist/General Practioner that I can go and see so that I can get the ball rolling. I have not been to the doctor in roughly 6 years and even then, that was an emergency clinic in another state. A McClinic if you will. I think I may have a possible problem with this diet history thing if it has to have been medically supervised. I mean, I have tried some things over the years but they haven't worked. Hell, I mean points are for keeping score in football not with food.
Hey TJ
Okay it's me agian. So I am glad you liked Dr K (wink) you devil you!!!
You lost me in the beginning of your thread. What was funny and interesting. I hate not knowing the whole story so your gonna have to share.
Okay You seen my surgeon Dr. Smith tall and slender. Very strong face and looks right at you. Hey speaking of Dr K, I might have thought Dr. Smith was rather handsome (lol) *okay this is not a love match site I know just kidding. smile...but he is
As far as a PCP goes. hmmm how did you hear about the Emory clinic. Perhaps they can help ya out. The docs at Emory are good but getting in to see a good doctor is hard and looooooong waiting. If your not already a patient your almost out of luck. If you get an appt. it will be with a new doctor or something. I am actually thinking of changing my pcp when this is done. I actually know I am for sure. The office is to hard to get ahold of. They don't call back. They don't follow up. I don't like it really. I am going to see how more personal I can get my doctor. But call BCBS and see there list of doctors. Other than that I hope others here can give you some better info. Okay TJ
