Well, I'm on my way, got my Hmo primary care Dr. to approve referral to the Gastric Specialist. Will be calling tomorrow to make my 1st appointment to see if the Doctor believes I qualify for the surgery. Keeping fingers crossed!

I'm being positive, I have arthritis and fibromalygia - a muscle disorder that causes chronic pain 24hrs a day and I'm on heavy medication daily just so I can work and survive. I'm 49 years old and have the strength of an 89 year old. Wish to be able to feel my age not twice my age. I have a appointment with the Gastric specialist Mar 2, 04, hope he agrees and so on. My arthritis specialist states he will recommend me to have the surgery and next week I will request recommendation from my pain management physician. All my doctor's want me to loose weight, I just look at them and say how, I can't do regular exercise because of the fibromalygia. Have tried numberous weight loss programs many times, to no avail, no weight loss, just gaining more weight. Oh Well! A new day, a new beginning! Wish me Luck!!
