I wish I could help.. I also have bcbs hmo and I had no problems at all with them.. I was approved in five days... I was lucky I guess... will your doctor go to another hospital? I had a great surgeon Dr. Christopher Hart in Duluth and my surgery was at Northside... but I do know my surgeon uses two or three different hospitals... .. good luck!!!

try to research surgeons on this website's database, then go to www.bcbsga.com and look up their provider directory. This will tell you what doctors are in and out of network for hmo. just enter the type of policy you have, and the closest address of the doctor, and it'll tell you what doctors and hospitals are in network! hope this helps.
