Will I be hungry after surgery and the months that follow?
Angela I've not been hungry once. I've had head hunger...but not physical hunger. Oddly enough the head hunger is gone now for the most part. I had my appendix out over Labor day weekend and that's the when I really wanted my comfort foods. I survived though and I'm down 120lbs and 60 inches since Jan 21, 03. Best of luck as you begin this incredible journey.

Hi Angela,
After surgery, I had to remind myself to eat my little 2 ounces three times a day! I got on a little schedule and pretty much stuck to it. The further out I got, I did get hungry, especially if I was running behind on my eating schedule. I would eat my little meal, and get on with my business.
Head Hunger is the worse thing for me now! Ususally, just drinking water or crunching on ice will help ease that munchie head hunger thing.
I am down 140 pounds, and I am about 18 months post op. I feel great, and if I had to do my surgery again, I would in a heart beat!
Best of luck to you!
Kathy
