NEED A CARDIOLOGIST

HI GUYS, i live outside pensacola florida near the mobile alabama area. my husband and i are both having surgery in pensacola...but have a problem we cannot find any cardiac doctor in our doctor to do a cardiac workup on us. they say the tables for the resting stress test in the local hospitals only hold 350 pounds, i am 460 and hubby is 375. have any of you wonderful folks had a cardiac workup, resting stress test, etc, and were our size when you had it done. we are willing to go to any medical facility if we can find a table to accomodate us. any info would be so appreciated. im not sure where to even begin calling, but i don't care what it takes. that;s the only thing standing in our way. i have a bad colon that may not make it much longer so i need to have surgery before i get another bad colon flair up with my diverticular disease. i need to have part of my colon removed and resectioned but because i am such a high risk patient they are trying to get my rny done first. thanks for your time. melissa philbrick

The only place I can recommend is possibly having your physician contact Emory Cardiology or Emory Bariatrics in Atlanta and see if they have they have equipment since Emory does clinical trials and are a teaching facility. I haven't had to have a stress test in many years, so I didn't encounter the weight restrictions then that I might would now should I need such.
