When do I start calling the insurance company to check status of claim?

My surgeon submitted my paperwork to insurance on Friday 8-8. When do I start calling to check on claim status?

I would start calling tomorrow. You may seem like a pain in their rear, but you will know when you are approved. My ins (BCBS of Ga) recieved my paperwork on 8-12, and I have called on the 12, 13 and 14, and don't ya know I will call again tomorrow Cynde
